Below is an image of me presenting a discrepant event involving the "spooky action at a distance" between a Tesla coil and different types of light bulbs as well as the influence of the human body on the flow of energy. The bulb pictured only lit up when my hand was in close proximity.
This lecture introducing thermodynamics came at the beginning of the unit, and included the combustion of a potato chip as a demonstration (no pictures unfortunately). It also led into a lab on measuring and calculating specific heats.
